Resources for Your Time

Ephesians 5:15-17 - 15 Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

There's So Much Information!
Have you ever felt like keeping up with news, education, interests, music, etc. is extremely overwhelming? Right now, in the midst of COVID-19, it seems like all sorts of ministries, organizations, churches, artists, and authors are putting their stuff out there for people to enjoy. This is great and wonderful, but all the available content can sometimes feel like so much, even too much. I'd like to help you distill some of what's out there into some resources that I believe will edify you deeply in your heart, soul, mind, and strength.

Maybe you are on the flip side and don't have any awareness of what's available out there. Maybe you prefer a good classic book and some music via your faithful cassette player (kids ask your parents). I'd like to encourage you by making you aware of some resources that are in the big world of the online universe. I think you'll be edified in your faith, hope, and love.

One Thing Necessary
I'll be posting resource recommendations every Monday. But before you read and explore those, I can't stress enough that being with Jesus is the one thing necessary (Lk. 10:42)! Devoted time in prayer and the Word should be a practice of your everyday life. If it's not then maybe now can be a time to start and develop the habit. Nothing can replace time spent with Jesus, sitting at his feet as you read His Word and communing with the Father through the Son by the Spirit in prayer. May you find rest in the presence of Jesus during this time.
